EXPERTISE
GSI
designs site investigations to cost-effectively obtain the data
needed for appropriate corrective action program in cost-effective
manner; specializes in Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) and Remediation
by Natural Attenuation (RNA) programs; customizes investigations
to site-specific conditions and remedial action objectives; manages
hydrogeologic site investigations at large and complex facilities
involving multiple individual contaminant sources; and performs
accurate, high quality, and complete data acquisition safely and
efficiently.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
RFI Projects: Conducted multiple RCRA Facility Investigation
(RFI) projects, involving from one to more than 100 individual solid
waste management units (SWMUs), for major chemical manufacturing
facilities in the Gulf Coast and elsewhere in the U.S. with budgets
ranging from less than $50,000 to over $1,000,000.
Site Assessments:
Conducted numerous projects, large and small, using a wide variety
of site screening tools and field tests to provide results on an
expedited basis to facilitate rapid decision making for real estate
transactions and other time sensitive issues.
NAPL Characterization:
Performed accelerated DNAPL and LNAPL delineation studies for a
large Superfund Site in Texas and other industrial sites using innovative
technologies to minimize potential worker exposure, prevent generation
of investigation-derived wastes, and reduce project costs.
Forensic Analysis:
Conducted detailed forensic investigation of intermingled hydrocarbon
contaminants to assess inter-company liability across property lines.
