Ann P. Smith, P.E.:

Ms. Smith is a Vice President with GSI Environmental Inc. in Austin, Texas.  She received Masters degrees in Environmental Engineering and Business Administration from Rice University and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.  She has over 25 years of experience on engineering and environmental projects addressing soil and groundwater contamination for City, State, Federal and private industry clients.  She has managed major projects and contracts for services including: site investigation, regulatory negotiations, remedy implementation, long-term monitoring optimization and site closures.  Key responsibilities include client coordination, technical strategy development, data evaluation, risk assessment, document preparation and QA/QC.  Recently, Ms. Smith managed highly technical teams of engineers, geologists, scientists, and hydrogeologists to assess remedial system operations, develop exit strategies and conceptual site models, evaluate performance monitoring, and propose recommendations for environmental program improvements.
