GSI Environmental has designed and implemented innovative and cost-effective long-term monitoring programs to support both natural attenuation and pump-&-treat remedies. GSI optimizes long-term monitoring well networks; and performs hydrogeologic site investigations at large and complex sites. Representative Experience: Monitoring Programs: Designed and implemented groundwater monitoring programs at major chemical manufacturing, industrial waste disposal facilities, and other sites. Representative projects include Long-Term Response Action groundwater and DNAPL monitoring program at large Superfund sites in Texas, and various detection, compliance and corrective action monitoring programs, under RCRA and other programs, nationwide. Natural Attenuation: Designed and currently implementing natural attenuation monitoring programs for a Superfund site in Southwest Texas and several major Gulf Coast chemical manufacturing facilities using both low-flow and conventional sampling techniques. Databases: Developed data management system to allow easy access to, and rapid evaluation of, RCRA groundwater monitoring data for more than 50 wells accumulated over more than 15 years at chemical manufacturing facility. Software: Developed the MAROS Long-Term Monitoring Optimization software for U.S. Air Force and currently applying MAROS to reduce long-term monitoring costs at four Air Force sites. API Bulletin: Selected by the American Petroleum Institute (API) to write No-Purge Sampling Technology Transfer Bulletin on the use of no-purge sampling methodologies for monitoring at leaking petroleum storage tank (LPST) sites.
GSI provides cost-effective and accurate monitoring services to support remedial actions and regulatory compliance, and innovative methods to reduce costs and make data more readily available. |
