Mark P. Hemingway, P.G.

Mr. Hemingway is a Principal Geoscientist with GSI and has more than 25 years of experience supervising, conducting, and reviewing hydrogeologic investigations and remedial actions addressing groundwater, surface water, stream sediments, soil gas, and surface and subsurface soils for legal, agribusiness, oil and gas, and government clients. He has developed, assembled, and installed saturated and unsaturated zone monitoring and remediation systems. Mr. Hemingway has worked on sites with a wide variety of chemical contaminants, including nitrates, chlorinated solvents and their daughter compounds, 1,4-dioxane, brines, and petroleum hydrocarbons. He has conducted or participated in RFI/CMS operations under RCRA, RI/FS operations under CERCLA, investigations and remediation activities under underground storage tank (UST) statutes, and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) investigations/remediation activities under the TSCA. In addition, Mr. Hemingway has performed investigation and remediation activities under a range of RBCA and non-RBCA state environmental programs. In Texas, he has performed work in compliance with the Risk Reduction Rules, TRRP, VCP, IOP, and the Spill Response Rules. He has provided expert reports, depositions, and expert testimony for numerous litigation and arbitration cases involving alleged groundwater, soil, soil gas, and surface water contamination. He served two terms in an elected capacity as a Director of a Texas Groundwater Conservation District. Mr. Hemingway is licensed as a Professional Geoscientist in Arkansas, Texas, and Florida.
