Principal Engineer/Hydrogeologist

GSI Environmental is growing in Texas and has an opportunity for a Principal-level engineer or hydrogeologist in its Austin, TX office.   • Experience compiling and interpreting field data, constructing conceptual models, data visualization, and preparing technical reports;

  • Ability to perform independent research and analysis;
  • Ability to work across geographies with experts in different offices;
  • Experience with litigation support/testifying experience is a plus;
  • Strong mentoring and recruiting skills desired;

Senior-Level Geologist or Environmental Engineer/Scientist
GSI Environmental Inc. is seeking a Senior- Level Geologist or Environmental Engineer/Scientist in our Oakland, CA office with 8 to 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and executing site characterization project, including developing work scopes and budgets, managing internal staff and subcontractors, and communicating (written and oral) with clients and other stake-holders. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills to support growth in our Oakland office and our overall California practice.

Duties include:
·       Directing and managing small to moderate sized multi-disciplined projects, such as Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
·       Developing technical approaches for completing site characterization activities
·      Preparing written proposals, managing project budgets, and communicating with client and project stakeholders
·      Developing standard operating procedures for field sampling and training programs for field professionals
·      Providing technical training and support to junior staff to ensure field tasks are completed with precision and consistency
·      Working directly with clients to identify specific project needs and communicating results
·      Working independently, directing junior staff with 0 to 5 years of experience, and soliciting senior input as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

GSI Environmental Inc. has an immediate opening for an entry-level Geologist or Environmental Engineer/Scientist in our Irvine, CA offices. This position entails conducting field investigations and assisting the project team in evaluation and reporting field investigation results under the direction of a senior professional.

Duties include:
  • Supporting preparation of technical documents, including quality assurance project plans, monitoring/sampling plans, health and safety plans, field records, and regulatory reports
  • Performing assignments requiring application of standardized techniques procedures and criteria
  • Performing field observations and sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, etc.)
  • Compiling and evaluating technical data and coordinating with laboratories
  • Managing environmental data and databases
  • Communicating with subcontractors and other staff
Qualifications/Requirements:

Administrative Assistant

GSI Environmental Inc., a privately-owned environmental engineering and consulting services firm, has an immediate opening in its Irvine, CA office for an Administrative Assistant.  Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Reports to the Office Manager.
