Phil Goodrum, Ph.D., DABT, Served on NAS Committee to Review Department of Defense’s Biokinetic Modeling Approach to Establish Airborne Lead Occupational Exposure Limit

Philip Goodrum, Ph.D., DABT, a Principle Toxicologist with GSI, was privileged to serve on a National Academies of Sciences committee to provide feedback to the Department of Defense on a proposed health-protective airborne lead occupational exposure limit (OEL). The full NAS committee report is now available online (Link).

DoD’s approach relies on state-of-the science biokinetic modeling, current regulatory guidance regarding worker exposure assessment, and key science-policy decisions regarding methods to address variability and uncertainty in establishing health-protective OELs.
