Elaine K. Gie

Ms. Gie is a Consulting Regulatory Specialist with 30 years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance with expertise in navigating the complexities of regulatory requirements applicable to commercial and industrial facilities, and oil and gas exploration and development operations. She has an M.S. degree in Environmental Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a B.S. in geology from Michigan State University. Ms. Gie has extensive experience in regulatory research and analysis for all major environmental regulatory programs at the federal, state, and local levels on behalf of industry. She has reviewed both current and historic requirements applicable to hazardous and solid waste management, hazardous substance release, soil and groundwater remediation, leaking underground storage tanks, wastewater discharge, underground injection control, risk assessment, and air quality. Ms. Gie has conducted regulatory compliance audits for industrial facilities nationwide, managed environmental permitting for Texas hazardous waste management facilities, and researched the technical literature for historic industry standards of care and regulatory policies.
