Elaine K. Gie

Ms. Gie is a Consulting Regulatory Specialist with more than 30 years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance with expertise in navigating the complexities of regulatory requirements applicable to commercial and industrial facilities, and oil and gas exploration and development operations. She has an M.S. degree in Environmental Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a B.S. in geology from Michigan State University. Ms. Gie has extensive experience in the application and analysis of environmental regulatory requirements relevant to industry compliance. She has researched and summarized both current and historical regulations and policies for hazardous and solid waste management, hazardous substance release, soil and groundwater remediation, leaking underground storage tanks, wastewater discharges, underground injection control, risk assessment, and air quality. Ms. Gie has conducted regulatory compliance audits for industrial facilities nationwide; managed environmental permitting for Texas and California hazardous waste management facilities; and surveyed, collected and organized technical literature on historical industry practices and standards of care for litigation support.
