Phillip C. De Blanc , Ph.D., P.E.

Dr. de Blanc has over 35 years of experience in environmental engineering. He specializes in subsurface contaminant transport, including groundwater flow, hydraulic testing, water flow in the unsaturated zone, diffusion in subsurface soils, contaminant partitioning, non-aqueous phase liquid behavior, and chemical degradation. He has served as an expert witness on numerous environmental litigation projects involving chlorinated solvents, petroleum compounds, and emerging contaminants. He has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University, an M.S. degree in environmental health engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in civil (environmental) engineering, also from the University of Texas. In addition to his consulting practice, Dr. de Blanc teaches graduate-level courses in groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and environmental remediation at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
